The Company’s products include wavelength multiplexers/demultiplexers based on the Lightchip™ product line, which has been in development since 1997. The products offered, using free-space diffraction gratings, have been pioneers in high-performance passive components and subsystems for dense wavelength division multiplexing. Free-space diffraction gratings enable service providers to increase wavelength count in CATV, metropolitan, and long-haul optical networks and to derive the maximum ROI from existing network infrastructures. In February 2006, Confluent merged with Auxora, a Rustic Canyon portfolio company, that provides low cost wavelength management and control solutions for optical networks.
