Rustic Canyon will review your plan as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that we receive thousands of unsolicited business ideas and plans from entrepreneurs every year. You will hear back from us within one to two weeks. If you are referred to us by an entrepreneur we have worked with in the past, we will respond within one week.
As a matter of policy, we do not sign NDAs.
Because we review every submission we receive, we must spend our time in the most productive manner possible. While we certainly would enjoy the opportunity of talking with each entrepreneur prior to submission of an idea, it is not possible for us to do so.
Please review a list of our current portfolio companies and our sector focus to get a sense of the types of companies we prefer to work with.
We provide seed and early round financing for companies. We will occasionally make later round investments in highly successful technology companies already backed by other venture capital firms with whom we have prior relationships.
Our recent investments have ranged from as low as $1 MM to as much as $10 MM, but it is possible that we can invest outside this range in special situations
We prefer to invest in companies located near our three offices (Southern California, Silicon Valley, Pacific Northwest). We believe that it is essential for our entrepreneurs to have regular contact with us so that we may be able to maximize our assistance and effectiveness. In special circumstances, we will consider investing outside of these geographic areas. In those cases, we will look to bring in a local financing partner with whom we have previously invested.
